TFX - Natural History Museum - 06

Team FREDNET visits the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles, California, and learns about the difference between a "Meteorite", "Meteor", and "Meteoroid".  Here we see the famous Allende Meteorite, first discovered in February of 1969, in Mexico.  Later studies of the crystals in this meteorite have shown it to be formed at nearly the same time as our solar system, as old as the Earth itself.  This small and humble looking little "rock", right there in the gem and mineral exhibit.
