Lunar Roundup: Rocket Engines and a Rover Parade

Welcome to this week’s Lunar Roundup! A power rankings-style look at who & what’s been “Awesome!” over the last seven days of the Google Lunar X PRIZE.

Our Team Summit video showed off a bunch of new designs; Synergy Moon shared a rocket engine test; Angelicum posted a bunch of new concepts; Rocket City Space Pioneers battled giant lunar pumpkins; and Omega Envoy shared their newest design! (Plus, some great team updates in the honorable mentions!)

1) Summit!

The 2012 Team Summit Video featured a ton of teams, with new designs and awesome ideas!:

2) Rocket!

Synergy Moon posted a nice action-video of a rocket engine test:

3) Flurry!

Angelicum posted a flurry of updates on their Dandelion rover, including video of their new nano version---and a guide on how to build your own!

They also shared a new backup rover design---this one called the 'Rhexalion'---using a flexible-blades design:

4) Giant Pumpkins!

Rocket City Space Pioneers posted an entertaining video of their rover vs. giant pumpkins on the Moon:
