In 1998, while studying at the University of Texas, he founded Apogee—a company that would go on to become the nation’s leading managed communications provider in higher education . Starting as a self-funded, two-person startup, Chuck grew Apogee into the largest provider of voice, video, and data networking services, serving over 400 universities across the U.S.
Above all, Chuck is a devoted father to four wonderful daughters. His mission is to leave the world a better place as part of his legacy—an ambition he actively pursues through his involvement with XPRIZE.
