DIANA - Test in simulated lunar gravity

The very interesting video shows new tests that were performed on the Rover developed at the Politecnico di Torino by the DIANA students team. The test were performed in the ALTEC Mars surface facility (Turin, Italy).

Tests aim to verify the locomotion system performances. To simulate the Moon gravity acceleration, the rover is unloaded by means of a bridge crane, an elastic rope and a dynamometer.

The rover passed successfully the planned tests.
