Today and tomorrow
Politecnico di Torino is more and more close to the space every day. After the successful launch of e-st@r (link), the first Cubesat of the Politecnico di Torino, a second launch opportunity will be available if the Student Team will pass successfully the test in relevant environment at the ESA ESTEC facilities.
The Cubesat is a satellite of standard dimensions (cubical shape, 10 x 10 x 10 cm) with a mass of 1 kg. In general this kind of satellite is utilized by the researchers since this standard allows a low cost access to the space.
The know-how and the lessons learned derived by the test campaign will exploited for the successful of the Amalia Mission.
