Earthrise Space Foundation Gains Boca Bearings as Sponsor

Orlando, Fla, (October 29, 2014) – Earthrise Space Foundation (ESF) today announced Boca Bearings as a sponsor. The company provided ESF with a generous donation through a recent crowdfunding campaign.

Since 1987, the Boca Bearing Company has been dedicated to maintaining the world’s largest inventory of miniature bearings in all of the most popular sizes. For over 20 years they have been the experts at ceramic hybrid and full ceramic bearings. Their team of sponsored riders and drivers span the globe and many different sports.

ESF is committed to the research and development of spacecraft and spacecraft systems in Central Florida and is the host of Team Omega Envoy, a group competing for the $30 million Google Lunar XPRIZE. This unprecedented competition is challenging privately funded teams to successfully land a spacecraft on the moon that travels at least 500 meters and transmits high-definition video and imagery back to earth.

ESF is focused on furthering science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education within the Central Florida community through internships with local students. These students get hands on experiential opportunities by contributing to projects on site and are able to apply these experiences in school or while pursuing jobs after graduation.
