Last year’s announcement that there may be a new, undiscovered Planet Nine was very exciting---and now, there’s further evidence of its existence.
Probing into the depths of our outer solar system, scientists have found more objects whose orbits are being moved around by something. And it’s something big.
"I don't think it's a slam dunk; it's not 100 percent, because it's such low-number statistics. But there are a lot of strange things that seem to be going on that would be explained quite well with there being some kind of massive planet out there." - Scott Sheppard, Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington, D.C., to Space.com
The idea that there’s an undiscovered planet still out there in the solar system, even in today’s advanced age, is pretty mind-blowing. And the evidence keeps mounting.
An undiscovered, unnamed world just rings of possibility for today’s explorers.
So, what do you think: is it out there? And if you are the one to officially find Planet Nine, what would you name it?
