Google Celebrates Hubble Telescope's 20th Birthday

To celebrate the 20th birthday of the Hubble Space Telescope, Google has released an updated version of Google Earth with integrated Hubble imagery. If you want Google Earth to chauffeur you around the universe, you can also download the shiny new Hubble tour kmz file (warning: drooling on keyboard may ensue).  Here is a little sample video of the tour:

If you are a Droid owner, then you should also check out the Sky Map app. With Hubble imagery integrated, just point your phone at the sky to take closer look into the cosmos. Isn't living in the future fantastic?

Finally, if you want some nice wallpaper for your desktop (or your living room wall), I highly recommend visiting the gallery. They provide lots of beautiful, hi-resolution, ready-to-print Hubble images -- all for free for your use.

Happy birthday, Hubble! Thanks for 20 years of changing the way that we look at the universe.
