Jamey Mulligan is a senior scientist at Amazon, and the technical and strategy lead on Amazon's carbon neutralization team. Previously Jamey held positions at the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the White House Office of Management & Budget. His work focuses on assessing a range of natural and technological measures for carbon removal and abatement on feasibility, lifecycle performance, cost, social impact, and scalability parameters--and developing and implementing strategies to scale those measures. Jamey has played a role in a number of major climate initiatives, including the LEAF Coalition, Amazon's Agroforestry & Restoration Accelerator, the US Climate Alliance Natural & Working Lands Initiative, the development of WRI's Carbon Removal program, successful efforts to expand and strengthen DOE funding and 45Q tax incentives for carbon removal, the Clean Power Plan and several other doomed regulations under the Clean Air Act, and the US Government's first assessment of the fiscal risks of climate change. He holds an MS in Natural Resources & Environment and an MA in Applied Economics from the University of Michigan.
